The Urban Art scene in Lima has since long gained status and attracts lovers of this poular culture.  Barranco, the SoHo of Lima, displays in its streets the works of well acknowledged exponents of this art.  You will enjoy it walking with us the Barranco streets with our Private Urban Art Tour in Lima.

These are some of our famous artists whose mural art we will get to admire along the Barranco neighborhood.

Elliot Tupac

He created a very characteristic style inspired in the fluorescent colorful textiles of his native Andean town.  Using them he started his career printing posters for bands of chicha music, a mixture of tropical and Andean rhythms. This year Google coomisioned him to create the doodle for our National Day. He has exhibited his work in America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

Entes and Pésimo

These two artists, Entes (Joan Jiménez) and Pésimo (Edwin Higushi) have been working together for many years.  They enjoy recognition for their work not only in Peru but all over the world.  They have been invited several times to offer their colorful art in Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, Italy, France, Italy and more.  About two years ago they joined an event in Austria where both painted together a 12 mts long mural formed by containers.

Jade (Jonathan Rivera)

He is also a much loved and famous exponent of street art in Barranco.  He is the author of the striking mural "The Home of Sighs", one of the most photographed street art works in Lima.  Facing the Bridge of Sighs in Barranco and covering the walls of his workshop, this mural represents the love for his neighborhood.  He was the winner of the competition "The walls speak" in Barranco. His works ranging between figurative art and magic realism are all over the city.
